The discreet all-rounder for a better overview, break-in protection & sustainable heating:
Door/window contact II (plus)
Reliably detects open doors and windows – and the plus version even detects vibrations
Break-in protection and energy savings in one
The compact all-rounder, door/window contact II (plus) doesn’t merely allow you to keep an eye on whether doors, windows, and more, are open or close – you can also save a lot of energy and protect your home from burglars.
Here, you have the choice between the standard door/window contact II model and the door/window contact II plus model with an additional vibration sensor.
Perfect overview
Running around the house is old news: thanks to your door/window contact (plus), you just need to look in the app to find out if a window or door is open or closed.
If the status changes, you are informed according to your preference either via push notification or Widget – whether you’re at home or out and about.
Smart break-in protection
If your door/window contact (plus) detects that a window has been opened while your alarm system is activated, it triggers an alarm straight away.
The security version of the door/window contact even sounds the alarm if there are vibrations caused by break-in attempts.
Extra smart: you are warned of security risks if doors/windows are open when the alarm system is activated.
Effortless sustainability
Your door/window contact (plus) makes it really easy to save energy – thanks to the “Sustainable ventilation” service:
if the smart window sensor detects that you are opening a window for ventilation purposes, the smart thermostats in the room are turned down automatically. This way, you avoid letting heat go out the window.
Querying the status via voice assistant
You can clearly see the status of your door/window contacts in your Bosch Smart Home app and via a Widget (iOS) or push notifications (Android).
If you don’t have your smartphone handy and certainly don’t want to have to dart through the house, you can simply ask your voice assistant:
“Alexa, is the bathroom window closed?”
Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant will conveniently give you an answer to whether a window is currently open or closed.
Versatile in use
Your doors and windows are what you make of them: your Bosch Smart Home door/window contact (plus) has a small, compact and waterproof design – and can be used anywhere that you want to have an overview of whether something is open or closed.
- Doors & windows
- Garage door, summer house & garden gates
- Medicine cabinet, cleaning cupboard & pantry
- Letterbox
- Cat flap
- … and much more
There are no limits to what you can come up with. Thanks to the little all-rounder, you can stay informed about every time something is opened and closed in your home.
Using services, scenarios & automations
If you have the Smart Home controller, your door/window contacts (plus) are linked with all smart devices. They then work hand-in-hand – for more security, convenience and efficiency.
For example, the door/window contact (plus) is part of the important, pre-set services :
- It triggers the break-in protection alarm system – if you have the plus version, it even triggers the alarm if there are vibrations.
- In the “Sustainable ventilation” service, it turns down your smart thermostats when windows are open.
You can also integrate the compact all-rounder into custom scenarios and automations. You can find out how under “Here’s how it works”.
Sustainable ventilation – energy-efficient heating
This is how to avoid letting heat go out the window: if the door/window contact (plus) detects an open window, it automatically turns down the radiator thermostats in the room.
This happens thanks to the “Sustainable ventilation” service. The Smart Home controller communicates the open window to the smart thermostats. These then turn down the heating temperature while the room is being ventilated – and then continue to heat again automatically once the window is closed.
This allows you to save energy and heating costs without having to take care of it yourself – your Smart Home thinks for you.
With a button for pausing the sensor or as a smart control element
The button of the smart window sensor can also be used just as flexibly as the door/window contact (plus) itself.
- A double press activates the break function. This allows you to open and close windows/doors once without activating services or automations. This is practical if you want to let some fresh air in at night, or let the dog out without triggering the alarm, for example. You can choose to end the break automatically after a certain amount of time.
- Short or long presses of the button can be assigned as triggers for freely selectable actions, automations and scenarios. Find out more under “Here’s how it works”.
Suitable for every home
Your Bosch Smart Home door/window contact (plus) adapts to suit your home:
- You have 2 different colours (white or anthracite) to choose from as the right version for your windows/doors
- At just 3 mm, the magnet of the smart door/window sensor (standard model) can be fastened discreetly to the top or side of the window.
- Do you have windows with multiple glazing? No problem! The door/window contact (plus) is also suitable for this.
Additional feature in the plus version: vibration sensor for break-in prevention
Your door/window contact (standard model) triggers your alarm system as soon as uninvited guests open a window or door.
However, if you have the door/window contact plus version, it never even reaches the point of a break-in:
For extra security, this version also has a vibration sensor, and you can set the sensitivity to one of 5 different levels.
This means that an alarm is triggered already when burglars start messing about your windows and causing them to shake – which will soon send any burglars running.
